Independent Reader 2023 Find Your Voice
This program is designed for kids up to age 12, that are reading independently. The purpose of this program is to encourage life-long reading habits.
Through the Terryville Public Library’s summer program you have the opportunity to discover great new books, learn about and do interesting new things, and win awesome prizes just for reading regularly!
How it works:
Complete activities, keep track of the time you spend reading, or do a combination of both! Stop by the library to receive a ticket for every mission you complete and/or every hour of reading! You must complete all the activities in a mission to earn a ticket. You can get an up close and personal look at the prizes you could win in the downstairs display case at the library! Each ticket is a chance to win one of the prizes in our end-of-the-summer drawing!
Reading great books isn’t the only thing on the library’s schedule, though. We’re also offering a broad selection of fun events including an animal event, STEAM events with Imagine Nation Museum, a children's concert, Make it Monday, Tech Tuesday, a Llama visit, Intro to Rocketry, Take and Make crafts and more! Earn one extra ticket for every event you attend. All of our events are FREE to enjoy!
THE FINAL DAY TO RECEIVE TICKETS IS FRIDAY, AUGUST 11!
Participation in Summer Reading Program is shared with the Plymouth Public Schools. Email tplchild@biblio.org if you wish to opt out.
